My Spring Must Haves!

Photo on 10-03-2013 at 20.46 #2

Hey Guys sorry again for being such a slacker but clubs and homework have once caught up with me, so I haven’t blogged about anything interesting for donkey’s years….

I have made an effort to do some shopzin though and after seeing what’s in the shops I thought I would share with you some of my favourite styles and must haves.

xoxo 🙂

Favourite Number One! TIE DYE

You probably already know but I am absolutely loving Tie Dye at the moment and I think with all the bright and bold patterns it is perfect for spring. All the major high street shops like asos, topshop, river island, Urban outfitters and H&M have it, but if you want to be extra awesome  I recommend making your own. it is half the price, great fun and you get major bragging rights! 😛

Favourite Number Two! Cropped Tees

I dunno why but I am absolutely obsessed with cropped tees at the moment. They seem to be great for everything, school, shopping or just lazing around. I love them especially those in Topshop if you guys don’t own one you have to go out and buy one they are awesome! xoxo

Favourite Number Three! Oversize!

Another thing I am loving this spring and is probably a huge contradiction to what I just said, is oversized tops. I am loving oversized tops and shirts. They look awesome with leggings and are really comfy!

Favourites Four and Five! Platforms and Backpacks

PLATFORMS: Platform trainers have always been a love of mine but I dunno this spring I just seem to be loving them even more. I have like 5 pairs now and am wearing them constantly. Not only do they make me taller (which is always a bonus) they are just so coo, comfy and go with more or less anything. 🙂

Warning: If you but one pair you will have to but another! 😛

BACKPACKS: I don’t just mean any kind of backpacks, I mean the cutest kind. Sadly and probably quite stupidly I don’t know there name but you guys will know once you see a pic. They are just so cute and I have one as my school bag. They are perfect for everything and I just have no words to describe my Love!

Despite living in a place where even though it is spring it is SNOWING I am still loving spring fashion and allthough it is impossible to wear a t-shirt outside without dying of hypothermia, I will make an effort!

What a strange thing! to be alive beneath cherry blossoms. -Kobayashi Issa

Maya Who?

Hey Guys, so the other day I was thinking that I’ve had this blog for a wee while now and I have yet to really introduce myself to you guys. Basically I won’t be giving too much away, seeing as I need to protect my top secret identity, but hopefully you will get to know just enough so that  you will maybe understand me a bit better. xoxo

I am a proud scot, and I have never lived anywhere else. This is probably the reason I am so eager to travel and discover the rest of the world. This blog is admittedly a secret so welcome to my little world.

I love clothes, beauty and just everything to do with fashion, but to be fair I do hide it a lot in my ‘real life’. I won’t lie I do quite well in school and I think more or less everyone I know expects me to go to university and become a doctor or lawyer of some sort, but I wont say too much about that…. maybe we will just see what happens with time. 😛 I do love sport and I have done almost all things sporty from Karate to athletics. Which may be a controversial because most bloggers especially fashion seem to be dead set against it.

When I grow up I do want to go to university, but I really would like to be involved in fashion, Whether I am a pro blogger or a top model I don’t mind but I would love to be involved in it one way or another.

I love music and although I personally believe I am the worst singer in the country, I do play a couple of instruments and I am starting more. I’ve been playing the violin for donkey’s years now, and I can also play the ukulele and guitar. I do prefer my ukulele but it is always good to have an understanding of other things, (or at least thats what people tell me 😛 ) P.S I am starting piano this week so wish me luck.  xoxo

Grrr: I am so jealous of all of you who live in wonderful and interesting cities like London or New York. I admittedly do live a very rural life but that doesn’t stop me from being connected to the outside world. Its not like we live in the victorian times guys. Although the downside of living somewhere so rural and cold has to be the fact that people just wear trackies and anaracks most of the time. Plus some don’t even venture to the more central areas of Scotland and experience fashion and uniqueness, so i am ashamed to say that the majority of my school thinks that g-star, adidas and and any other naf sporting brand is trendy. You don’t know the pain….. 😛

Me and my BFF are like the only people in the whole school who try and be a bit different. I am not  kidding you it is like I live in a colony of chavs! hahah

I hope you guys feel like you know me a bit better and if you have any other questions be sure to leave a comment xoxo

ImageI am bloomin’ loving grunge atm. I have given up trying to look cute and pretty because to be honest I just don’t have that kinda face. My obsession with the 90’s and Cara Delevigne proably has a big part to play in this new craze of mine, but sitting watching a true hollywood story today on Johnny Depp today probably pushed me over the edge. Him and Kate Moss were the perfect couple. Both just as carelessly cool as the other.

I think this suits me because I have a mad cows lick thing on my forehead which means when I wear a middle parting it looks as though I have just rollen out of bed. But hey ho thats what grunge is all about, Minimal effort

Image(Look at me rocking dat grunge shizz)

I have actually decided that this is happening, so this sunday i am gonna do some major shopzin, and I get a new grungeified wardrobe. Seriously you will be seeing a female Johnny Depp. Who is by the way, the kind of all things grunge.

I seriously could not mention the word Grunge without bringing up Johnny Depp. Some may say nirvana but personally I think Johnny Depp was the first. His careless junky sheek style is the definition of amazing. He might not be quite as cool anymore but in his younger years he was more or less a grunge god. But who almost equals his grunge goodness… the one and only Kate Moss.

Her amazing face and effortless style is an inspiration. I am now in the process of trying to make myself look like the love child of Kate Moss and Cara Delevigne! xoxo

Hey hope you have taken a bit of inspiration and come back soon to check out my grunge god makeover! 😛

…And I didn’t give a damn

And they call me a poser…..

Hey if you guys hadn’t already noticed, I am kinda a serial poser. It isn’t really anything to be ashamed of because seriously, who wants to look bad in a pic! But instagram is like a huge part  of my day to day life, so I thought if I am gonna have a blog then all my lovelie readers might want to know something about me, (right this is awkward if you don’t *awkward balloon*), so here is a me! Enjoy my Posing! xoxo

I am awake btw!…..:P

A little crazy, can be a good thing….

Who cares if it is snowing….:P

I hope you found this funny, and make sure to follow me on Instagram! I promise more zoolander goodness!

Rachel Berry

ImageHey guys, can we just take a minute to recognize how amazing the ‘old’ Rachel’s style was, and pray that the glee stylists will bring it back. Her unique geek meets chic style is amazing in my opinion and i have definitely taken inspiration from it. The ‘new’ Rachel’s style, is just a little too grown up and to be fair just isn’t as quirky and cool!

Here is a little Rachel Berry inspired outfit I put together myself…

Since I have never seen her wearing trousers, I thought it best to mix it up and try a cute floral white lace dress, blazer and her signature knee-high socks. For my hair I just pinned her my hair back because sadly I do not have bangs, but I put in a cute bow (which I made) to complete the look.

IMG_0986I made sure I was matching, because of course, it is Rachel Berry I am taking inspiration from! Luckly my über cute blazer came with that amazing flower and polka dot lining, so with that touch of colour I paired it up with a pair of the prettiest pink pumps.

IMG_0987I hope you like my Rachel Berry inspired look as much as I do, and remember to join me in praying for her awesome style to return!

Till Tomoz My Chics……xoxo

A Dummies View On Braids

ImageIf you are like me, and you love braids but, find them impossible, then you will like this little rant. Because well… there might just be some advice at the end.

I mean how can you keep up with them all there are fish tails, waterfalls, dutch braids, double braids, french braids, Grecian braids and many more. All I can do is a normal plait, (thats what we call braids here in the uk) and a very wonky french braid. Help Me!

Everyone seems to be rocking braids at the moment even tiny wee ones, but I just can’t seem to pull them off. I do actually want to learn how to braid better, I mean this post isn’t just a big rant, but most of my friends and family are pretty useless and well, I do have one auntie who is a hairdresser but she lives really far away. 😦 I know I am so deprived….

More than anything I would LOVE to learn how to do a waterfall braid, so if anyone can help me please leave a comment below! I am coming to you my friends as a last resort! 😛

Braids are so, cute and even though like everything else they can be a bit OTT sometimes, they do really make you look that much more awesome! if you love/hate them as much as me, (it’s a complicated relationship we have) then make sure to get back to mwa, and share your inspiration, ideas or just plain rants!

You Know you Want To!

Hello, my fashion forward friends. I am in a bit of a sticky stituation and I know that you guys are the best people to help me!

Tomorrow is my school’s once a month dress down day, and well i just can’t decide what to wear! I know everyone can relate, to my predicament, so maybe could you just spare a minute or two to help a girl out. xx

I have managed to deduce my many outfits down to just three and I would be ever so grateful if you could leave a comment, telling me your favourite, or many some advice on how to mix them up!

Thanks so Much!
